Reading promotion programs not only create excitement about reading, but also introduce students to new books and genres, and create a community of readers throughout the school. When students discover reading for pleasure they build literacy skills that can improve their academic performance across the curriculum, support independent learning, and lead to the habit of reading for a lifetime. 

 

ROAD TRIP U.S.A. - A middle or high school level reading promotion program that encourages students to take a reading "road trip" and enjoy books set in various locations across the United States. Readers can travel solo or in teams to complete their reading journeys or compete in the race to the finish.
