Accomplishments
As a school librarian, computer teacher, and classroom teacher with inclusion students, I have collaborated with other teachers, learning specialists, instructional technology resource teachers, and librarians to create lesson plans and units of study that support an inquiry-based approach to learning. These plans and units offer differentiation to accommodate the needs, interests, and learning styles of students from kindergarten through middle school, use multiple instructional strategies, technology tools, and print and digital resources to support the WJCC learning objectives and the Virginia Standards of Learning across the curriculum. As a certified school librarian, I have developed lesson plans, instructional units, and support materials with a focus on the National School Library Standards for Learners, School Librarians, and School Libraries.
